Sometimes you just have to love the Xena fandom. Fans are going around to several mailing lists, websites, blogs, boards, etc telling people. Correction. Begging people to vote for Lucy because if she doesn't win, it could hurt the chances of the Xena movie.
Because of this, there for that (or this will) happene(d).
Let me lay out flat folks:
Voting for Lucy to help her win Duets will not help the movie get made. Nor will her losing hurt the movie from being made.
The simple fact is, no studio is going to rely on inflated voting results. They look at things that would bore the common person.
Oh well. Vote for whom you wish. I won't tell you who to vote for. That's for you decide.
One more thing, I never got an email from anyone.
Geez, sometimes it's hard for me to believe that so many people are still hung up over the whole movie idea. Personally I give up on it a long time ago. I basically don't think it's gonna happen. If it does great, if not I won't cry about it. I've accepted the series the way it is.
ReplyDeleteWhen 'Duets' first premiered, it started going up on message boards (not XOC) and mailing lists that this would spell good things for the movie.
