Nothing like asking the wrong person. But anyways, Sam Raimi was asked about the possibility of a 'Hercules' or 'Xena' movie he said that it could happen, it's really up to Rob.
Raimi always has and always will have nothing to do with either franchise in terms of a movie. It's not his thing. It wasn't his thing when the series was in production and it's not his thing now. So why he was asked, I don't know.
Maybe perhaps the person felt he'd give a straight answer? Probably.
But don't read anything into the news. Any movie *could* happen.
